Salir do Porto is the departure point to many nice places in the area, such as
Sao Martinho do Porto Bay, known as the best family beach in Portugal!
The selection is extensive, but we have already listed some interesting sights.

Salir Do Porto
01
Salir Do Porto has approximately 5,000 inhabitants. This cozy, authentic seaside resort extends on the edge of the almost circular bay. The beautiful bay is a paradise, not only for the little ones, but there is also plenty to do for parents and older children, both within the bay and outside. There are cozy and good (fish) restaurants on the beach and in the center. Every day, except Monday, there is an indoor vegetable, fruit and fish market. The shell-shaped bay is connected to the ocean via a narrow opening between rock hills.

02
Obidos
The medieval town of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and best-preserved fortified towns in Portugal.
Óbidos is located sufficiently close to the capital, on top of a mountain near the Atlantic coast, and was once strategically important for the defense of the territory.
Nazaré market
03
Discover the authentic regional market in Nazaré where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, all kinds of cheese, but also baskets, furniture and hardware. And what could be better than ending a pleasant morning at the market with a delicious almoço, the traditional Portuguese lunch? Chicken piri-piri, batatas fritas and a delicious wine from the region. Of course followed by a typical Portuguese coffee. There is also no shortage of restaurants on the market!

04
Buddha Eden
Garden
While Óbidos takes you back to the Middle Ages, the nearby park 'Buddha Eden Garden' has something completely different to offer. With an area of no less than 35 hectares, Bacalhôa Buddha Eden harmoniously brings together the world of Buddhism and modern art. In this oriental sculpture garden you can completely relax while you become acquainted with oriental and contemporary culture…

Water fun
05
Both the bay of São Martinho do Porto and the lagoon of Óbidos provide good opportunities for sailing, canoeing, etc. You can rent equipment and take lessons. For example, look at Escola de Velada da Lagoa for the possibilities on the Lagoa de Óbidos, near Foz do Arelho. You can not only sail here, but also canoeing, water skiing and windsurfing. Sailing and windsurfing lessons are also given at the São Martinho Nautical Club

06
Nazaré
With its mild climate and natural beauty, it preserves one of Portugal's oldest fishing traditions. The sea near the Portuguese coastal town of Nazaré is one of the most popular surfing spots in the world. Many records have already been set here for surfing the highest wave.
